Summary Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Experience in asphalt and concrete repair, along with general construction knowledge.
- Knowledge of equipment such as backhoes, skid steers, and related tools.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt well to changing conditions, especially in traffic control.
- Follow oral and written instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting, shoveling, and other labor-intensive tasks.
- Ability to obtain a Class A CDL within probationary period.
- Ability to work in inclement weather and respond to after-hours, standby, and emergency callouts.
- Dependable, strong work ethic, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Education/Training:
- Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
Experience:
- Two years of general maintenance experience performing field maintenance work within the assigned area of responsibility.
License or Certificate:
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid Class A driver license within one year (Landscape or Streets) of employment.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, CPR and First Aid certifications within the first six months.
- Additional industry-specific certifications may be required depending on area of assignment.
