Join us as representatives from the City of Ventura and Pacific Coast Land Design present their 2025 projects of the year (structures, less than $5M).

Westpark Skatepark Expansion Project transformed a deteriorating, 3,200-square-foot skate bowl from the mid-1990s into one of the largest and most inclusive skateparks in Ventura, Santa Barbara, and Los Angeles Counties. Now spanning approximately 20,000 square feet, the new Westpark Skatepark features modern, world-class skate elements, improved park access, upgraded lighting, drought-tolerant landscaping, public art, and enhanced stormwater management.

Located in Ventura’s Westside, a CalEnviroScreen-designated Disadvantaged Community, the project reflects years of thoughtful engagement, technical planning, and grassroots support. Over 11 public meetings, two Parks & Recreation Commission hearings, the City’s first design-build contract, and nearly $2.3 million in combined funding brought this long-held community vision to life. The result is a transformative recreation space rooted in local identity, built for durability, safety, and generational use.

Registration closes: Thursday, September 3rd at Noon
