2025 APWA Ventura County Awards have been determined!
The 2025 APWA Ventura County Awards applications are closed and the winners are listed below!
Project of the Year Award
This award honors excellence in the design, construction, and management of public works projects. Public works projects must be developed, owned, and maintained by public agencies. To be eligible for nomination, a project must be substantially completed and available for public and/or agency use by the end of the year.
- Projects must be submitted in one of the following five categories:
- Structures – New public structures or the preservation/rehabilitation of existing public structures such as municipal buildings and parks.
- Transportation – Roads, bridges, and mass transit serving all modes of travel, including bicycles and pedestrians.
- Environment – Treatment and recycling facilities, landfill reclamation projects, and sewer infrastructure.
- Historical Restoration/Preservation – Restoration, preservation, or adaptive reuse of buildings, structures, or facilities that are 75 years or older.
- Disaster or Emergency Construction/Repair – Projects demonstrating excellence in safety, community relations, environmental protection, and overcoming adverse conditions.
- Projects are also grouped by cost:
- Under $5 Million
- $5 Million to $25 Million
- $25 Million to $75 Million
- Over $75 Million

Professional of the Year
This award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, innovation, and dedication to the public works profession.
Professional of the Year Award goes to:
