Summary Description:
Under the general supervision of a Division Manager or other assigned supervisor, a Management Analyst performs a variety of analytical duties in support of administrative, financial, and operational activities and reporting including performing professional-level duties in the areas of budget preparation, fiscal management, operational and performance data analysis, research, regulatory compliance and reporting, contract procurement and administration, grant administration, and related functions.
While positions assigned to the classification may be assigned duties in all areas, the focus of positions assigned to the classification varies depending upon the department and division to which the position is assigned. The current vacancy is in Finance.
Brief Description of Duties:
- Assists in the coordination of administrative and financial activities to support management in the delivery of services; prepares recommendations for improved administrative procedures and monitors their implementation.
- Gathers, compiles, analyzes, and interprets data and prepares periodic and special reports; identifies and forecasts problems and opportunities for improvement in operational performance; cross references data sources for reliability; determines violation status and response; assesses and implements methods to improve data collection and reporting; develops systems of tracking, measuring, and validating data.
- Performs complex administrative assignments, projects, and studies involving complex and sensitive issues requiring resolution and prepares recommendations; monitors, reviews, and analyzes policies, procedures, legislation, regulations, and ordinances and advises management of potential impacts to the District; develops new and revised policies to align with current regulations.
